If I talk about the coloring, I’m going to be speaking with a complete bias, because I totally love Gold and Silver repaints of figures. Your preference on that aspect is going to vary, so I’ll stick to the figure itself.

Head to toe, this likeness to the cartoon is spot on in each and every single detail in the mold. Although it’s not a problem with Bandai’s Soul of Chogokin line, the fact that this is a non-transforming robot ensures a cohesiveness throughout the molding as well. The shiny colors definitely aren’t the only thing that makes this a marvel to look at.

The poseability on this is top-notch and some of the best that the Super Robot Chogokin line has to offer. Between the Goldymarg forearm accessory and it’s big hammer, and even Stealth Gao which forms his wings, there are some heft pieces for this figure to have to stabilize. Strong joints and an overall balanced engineering makes you pose this toy with confidence. Speaking of Engineering, the little things like a piece for a tamshii stand to connect to the hammer really helps you get some dynamic ones out of this figure.

Varying hands come with as standard, as well as Stealth Gai (the wings) being removable. The Goldymarg forearm and Goldion Hammer are actually a separate purchase for the regular version of this toy. Top it off with a special version of the overload (fire) effect, and you’ve got some nice extras thrown in to help justify the much-higher-than-normal price of this Chogokin. However, I’m admittedly dissapointed that he didn’t come with accessories from the regular version like the dividing driver, protect shade, or broken magnum. A firery colored version of Broken Magnum would have been especially nice.

A great figure, with an awesome color variation, and a load of accessories. Not only is it a great display on your shelf, but it’s actually fun to play around with, too!

Overall Score: 9.5/10
