Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers was a phenomenon in the 90s and has following to this day. One of the most memorable aspects of the series were the “Dinozords” which the heros would call upon when fighting giant enemies that could be used on their own or combined together to become the “Megazord” which had a both a tank and battle form. Flame Toys has given us their take on it all as the first entry into their new “Go! Kara Kuri Combine” toy line and frankly I think this thing is fantastic. Check out the video above as well as my written thoughts/gallery below and let me know what you think in the comments.

Presentation: The box is standard cardboard with the figures and accessories being stored inside of plastic clamshells within. The graphics on the box are fantastic showing off the Megazord in all of its forms and the figures have phone and plastic on places that may rub giving it an overall premimum feel from the moment you receive it.

Build: This is a diecast product with the diecast primarily residing within the Tyrannosaurus figure as it makes the core of the combined megazord.

The paint job, color separation, and tampos on this figure are out of this world. The general presentation of the figure is so incredibly good that the quality of the joints is that much more of a letdown.

Accessories: Accessories per the TFSource product listing;

1 x Tyrannosaurus Dino Zord Figure
1 x Mastadon Dino Zord Figure
1 x Triceratops Dino Zord Figure
1 x Sabertooth Tiger Dino Zord Figure
1 x Pterodactyl Dino Zord Figure

The listing doesn’t account for the two cannons/blasters that it comes with but it comes with everything that the Megazord is supposed to have and overall I think it does a magnificent job with it all. The back canons detatching and being able to be transformed into blasters which can be held by hand is genius and I’m really surprised that I haven’t seen a company do this before with them. /p>

Articulation: The individual Dinozords are overall really good in terms of articulation. It’s refreshing to see the Sabertooth Tiger and Triceratops have the articulation I’ve always felt they should and the ptderadactly is really well done having the head and tail articulation on top of the full wing movement. The Tyranasaurus is great minues the head not habing any next swivel or up/down movement in the head and the Mastadon is frankly a step above being a brick.

Articulation: The reality is that the “money” lies within the combined Megazord in its robot mode and it does not disappoint in the slightest. As you can see in the video portion the articulation points and ranges are magnificent. With the individual zords, I’d say overally they’re actually really good with the Sabretooth Tiger, Triceratops, and Pteradactyl being phenemonal, the Tyannosaurus being pretty good, and the Mastadon really not having much articulation at all.

Overall Score: 9.5/10Flame Toys did an absolutely fantastic job with this piece. The only really “gripe” I have is the placement of the canons on the Megazord’s “tank” mode having the Megazord’s battle mode hands exposed and holding them rather than being able to tab into the bottom’s of the Mastadon’s feet like always (functional but just looks really jank in comparison.) Overall I think it makes for a fantastic display no matter what mode(s) you choose to have it in and the Megazord itself is incredibly articulated. Definitely an early frontrunner for “Toy of The Year” for me personally and I highly recommend it.
