Dx9 has released the latest in their D-Series Masterpiece-scaled line of figures with D-10 Hattori Hanzo. I have mixed feelings on this one but check out the video review and gallery and let me know what you think in the comments.
Overall Score: 6.5/10 – What Dx9 was going for with Hanzo is pretty clear, however I feel that the execution while good doesn’t meet the higher standards put out by them. The robot mode looks good and while I wish it were more poseable it definitely feels and plays like a quality piece. The alt. modes however feel very uninspired in terms of design. Out of 5 alt. modes I couldn’t find one that I’d see myself transforming it into again, which is unfortunate because the transformations really are fluid and it’d be fun to take off the shelf and play around with every so often. I definitely feel like there were missed opportunities in the execution of this piece.
