Bandai Tamashii adds Super Saiyan Trunks to their S.h. Figuarts Dragonball line. Trunks hits a great spot for me because he utilizes all of the new stuff from Awakening Goku like the tampoed eyes and new poseability points, but is a “regular” figure in the sense that he’s in his regular, untattered clothing. For me, this gives a better view of what this line is about now and it sure blows the older styling out of the water. At $50, this is definitely one that I would recommend purchasing, especially if you’re newer to the line.
Overall Score: 7.5/10 – Bandai has really found a sweet spot with this line and it shows with Super Saiyan Trunks. I love this piece, but admittedly do wish it came with more accessories, as well as a stoic face that wasn’t “side eyeing” on the Super Saiyan side.
