Generation Toy continues on with their Masterpiece-scaled IDW comic styled Transformers homages with GT-2 Tyrant! This particular variant of Megatron turns into a Stealth Bomber and I really think that Generation Toy nailed it for the most part in both modes.

Overall Score: 8.5/10 – Solid build, fantastic design, and very open playability make Tyrant a very strong recommendation from me. The detailing of the “tron” styled panel lining throughout the black “shell” especially pops and the LED gimmick in the eyes looks oh so good. The things keeping this from being a 10/10 for me are lack of ab crunch, low articulation in the hands, and the forearm guards not having allowing clearance for the full extent of Tyrant’s elbow bend. Overall though, this thing is just slick and even though I think EX OP looks a bit better just in terms of personal preference, Tyrant is definitely a step up in terms of build and q.c.. Something else has to be said for just how fluid the transformation on this piece is, which is especially nice since both modes look so that I find myself wanting to display Tyrant in either at random.
