Iron Factory has teased their combining homages to the Transformers “Decepticon Justice Division” for some time but it was surprising to see them start with releasing their homage to the lead character Tarn first in IF EX-31, Dubhe. At 4″ the amount of detailing on this piece is insane, giving larger homages to the character a solid run for their money aesthetically. Dubhe is an awesome piece in its own right and that makes me even more excited for the team as a whole.
Presentation: The box is standard for the most recent size and styling of Iron Factory single-packed figures (see pics.)
Build: Iron Factory Dubhe is an entirely plastic piece with a good quality plastic used. The joints are friction-based and another shining example of Iron Factory’s quality improvements as everything moves smoothly and pegs into place perfectly.
Accessories: Dubhe comes with his signature double blaster for his forearm as well as two extra pairs of pre-posed hands. Technically the mask can be considered an accessory since it’s removable as well.
Articulation: Dubhe is definitely on the highest end of the Iron Factory articulation standard which is honestly the highest standard of legends-classed transformers homages in general.
Overall Score: 9.5/10 – Dubhe is certainly one of Iron Factory’s best pieces to-date and really impresses with such a strong aesthetic at this small of a size. It’s well made and insanely articulated. Definite recommendation from here.
