Maketoys has really outdone themselves with their homage to the Transformers “Galaxy Force” version of Starscream in Galaxy Meteor. The video review really goes in depth a bit more than normal with this pieces as its articulation is absolutely exceptional. With a design and bright color scheme that make it look like the character popped right of the screen (while giving it a bit more of a sleek, updated styling.) The amount of accessories are “just right” in two extra faces, a blaster, and a Cyber Planet Key (which is a great nod to the series and older toys.) The transformation is fairly quick while having some nice little odds and ends that make it satisfying and the alt. mode is just plain awesome. Definitely check out the video review above as well as my thoughts and the gallery below and let me know what you think in the comments section.

Overall Score: 9.0/10 – MakeToys MTRM-10 has it all. Even outside of having a strong bias towards figures representing the “Unicron Trilogy” of Transformers this is a just-plain well-made, good looking, and highly articulated figure. Literally the only thing that I would change is the gun peg being change to a downward sliding piece into the back of the balm rather than horizontally sliding into the center. Outside of that, I’m not the biggest fan of the lips on the alternate faces protruding as they do and would maybe add a few more “clicks” of ab crunch to really give it the ability to hit some of those more anime-esque stances. I’d also have had some sort of tab for the “Cyber Planet Key” to lock into place on his back rather than being held by friction as it can fall out during play/posing. Overall though, this is one of if not my absolute favorite Maketoys pieces to-date and I look forward to seeing what they have going forward with their Galaxy Force homages. Even though I’ve listed some nitpicks I feel that they truly are minor and this is probably the piece I’d recommend right now for anyone who hasn’t checked out a MakeToys product and wants to see what they’re about. If you haven’t gotten the gist by now, I do give this one a very strong recommendation.
