MakeToys brings back one of its most coveted products with a slick deco in the Premium Edition of Striker Manus

Next month, MakeToys is releasing MTCD-01P Striker Manus Premium Edition which is a metallic-decoed repaint of the previously reviewed MTCD-01 Striker Manus. This release also comes with sprue kits that can be built into the same weapons as the one that came with MTCD-01 SP Striker Noir albeit reverse colors (now the weapons can be made to be more “Prime appropriate” with grays and orange vs. the blacks and red that the former primarily consisted of) and an Energon axe! It’s surprising what a little bit of paint can do to make an already great figure even more appealing.
Overall Score: 9.0/10 – Giving the Premium the same score as the original Striker Manus because it’s essentially the same figure with add-ons. Even though it’s subjective I do find the metallic color scheme to be more eye-catching than the original release, it does of course run more risk of chipping being painted so buyer beware. Overall, I definitely recommend this one especially if you’ve never owned the Striker Manus mold before because I think it’s one of the most cool iterations of Optimus Prime to date.
