With the recent release of their also recently reviewed Metamor-Force Ryuoumaru from “Mashin Hero Wataru,” Sentinel also released a limited run of add-on pieces called the Metal Jacket kit which work as armor and give Ryuoumaru a much more majestic look. There isn’t much to it but I try to give it as much of a breakdown here as possible as well as showing it off in the video and gallery. Check it out!
Presentation: The box is pretty straightforward in being a thicker cardboard with graphics/pictures on the front and back. The Metal Jacket parts are well packed into the plastic clamshell.
Build: This set is entirely plastic and outside of the sword’s handle, is all gold-plated. While light-weight pieces, they do feel very solid in hand and the gold seems well finished without signs of flaking.
Accessories: This set is entirely accessories consisting of a larger, gold-plated sword as well as golden feet covers, forearm gauntlets, and a crown-type of piece to go over Ryuoumaru’s helmet. It all just looks really good although I do wish that there was a place for the replacement sword to store when not held.
Articulation: N/A – the Metal Jacket accessories don’t hinder or add to Ryuoumaru’s articulation at all.
Overall Score: 9.0/10 – I love that this metal jacket kit is so to-the-point in that it pretty much just tabs onto the necessary areas within seconds and makes Ryuoumaru “blingy.” Well-done stuff that really makes it stand out in a display. If you can get a hold of this one, I certainly recommend it.
