WHERE TO BUY – TFSource

MakeToys has released the second in its Guardia Combiner team with Rover who’s their homage to the Transformers character Streetwise. As a figure, it’s solid; good aethetic, build quality, and even poseability. It’s a good example of the standard that MakeToys has set in terms of quality and style with their “Classics” scaled figures. The video goes over what it does pretty well and Rover gets the job done. The one thing I would have changed is the ratcheting knees as I like free range in joints.

His accessories are simply two blasters that combine into one. I’m more than happy with that as they look good on him. He also comes with comes with a sticker sheet with silver stickers to go behind his clear sirens for a more reflective look. Those haven’t been applied as I don’t “do” stickers but I think it’s a nice idea to have packed in.

In the end, Rover is a pretty middle-of-the road piece which isn’t a bad thing. It has a nice enough aesthetic to be a standalone but just doesn’t really stand out.
