After releasing the regular and “Real-Type” color variants of Dancouga, Sen-ti-nel decided to give us one more Beast-God item in the Metamor-Force line with Eagle Fighter. Although Eagle Fighter is technically included in the Dancouga set as it forms the head of the combiner, this one is actually an oversized version with dynamic articulation and fine detailing which gives fans an ability to own a version of the character that is actually “playable” since the combiner versions are always extremely small and generally unarticulated.

This version does transform into both Eagle and head modes (no, there are no anounced plans for a “giant” Dancouga figure) and comes with pretty minimal accessories in open hands and his sniper rifle (along with a hand attached to the handle.) The Eagle mode in particular is to die for. Check out the video review above as well as my overall thoughts and gallery below. Let me know what you think in the comments as well.

Overall Score: 6.0/10 – This version of Eagle Fighter is admittedly a nice, niche item. It’s neat to see a toy of the character with the size, articulation and detail that this has,
particular in its Eagle mode. However, the general fiddliness of it and lack of diecast really make it something I wouldn’t recommend at all at the MSRP. Eagle Fighter is a neat piece, but really poor at that $150’ish price-range. If you want to check it out, look around for sales or people selling used for significantly cheaper.
