Generation Toy really did the fans a solid with GT-3 EX OP in bringing us a MP-scaled iteration of the IDW-styled Optimus Prime. Not only that, but the piece is pretty undeniably solid, well-articulated,
and even has gimmicks like LED-eyes and a removable matrix hidden in the chest area. The transformation is smooth and intuitive (as compared to the horror that’s the GCreations attempt at the character,) and the alt. mode is as clean as a whistle. Overall Score: 7.5/10 – Generation Toy released a piece in EX OP that managed to really hit all of the sweets spots fans want in any Optimus Prime and did it in the from of an IDW-styled Optimus! The only reason it’s currently an 7.5 is the issue shown with the right shoulder on my copy and I’ll definitely increase the score if it’s something that can be resolved. This is my first experience with a Generation Toy product and overall it’s a very positive one.
