Sentinel really went above and beyond to not only bring The Iron Giant to life but really make it feels special

Sentinel truly went above with their homage to The Iron Giant robot from the Warner Brothers film of the same name. At 7.25″ tall, this figure may not have the height but definitely the visual and engineering presence to make it a centerpiece of any display. This piece is incredible and was an actual treat to review so please take a look at the video as well as my written thoughts and gallery below. Hopefully more of you buy this one as well because I’d love to see some of you all’s feedback in the comments.
Presentation: The box on both the front and back consist of pictures of The Iron Giant was well as the movie/company logos. The pictures have a movie-styled filter to them which is a nice touch. Inside of the box The Iron Giant and all of its accessories are individually packed into the plastic clamshells.
Build: The Iron Giant is a mixture of strong plastics and diecast with the diecast being distributed strategically to help maintain balance in a large variety of poses. The finish to it is nice and smooth as well with no areas that feel like there will be things like paint rub or chipping. It’s extremely well made.
Accessories: The Iron Giant comes with a variety of faces (including an alternate jaw/mouth styling that shows teeth with each face,) hands, and the Superman-like “S” symbol that clips onto his chest. Extremely simple accessories that go a long way.
Articulation: Definitely watch the video and see this thing in motion because it’s so darned impressive in this area. To be able to pull off the poses he does while remaining so aesthetically “clean” is the dream. It’s so fun to mess around with and so well balanced that I’m considering a second one to have on my desk as one to fiddle around with.
Overall Score: 10/10 – They absolutely nailed it on all counts with this Iron Giant figure. The look, feel, and play are all just symbolic of the amount of what can only be actual love that went into it. I’m pretty critical of Sentinel problems because realistically they’ve had quite a few mishaps that are especially frustrating for their usually high price points, but not only is this piece immaculate; the price is a steal! This is one of those pieces that both Iron Giant and robot collectors are going to absolutely love.
