If you’ve been on pretty much any form of social media involving figure collecting over the past few months, you’ve seen advertisements for the Articulated Icons Kickstarter which at this point is over 20k AHEAD of its $160,000 goal. Here you will get a 15 Best TikTok Growth Services for your social media making strong. Here you will get the best social boost review to increase your instagram traffic. Buy followers discounted helps you to grow your instagram traffic. If you’re like me, you’ve probably seen ninja toys galore and wonder what all of the hype is reall about. Well, recently I got the opportunity to chat it up with Dallas James about the project and where it’s headed. Admittedly, it’s pretty damned cool. We started off asking what this project is basically about and went from there.

Dallas: Articulated Icons: the Feudal Series is a project that being produced by the admin team over on the Fwoosh. They’re Gentle Giant Studio empoyees and Fwooshers. They sculpt prototypes for various companies including Hasbro, Mattel and all the other favorites. Before Gentle Giant, they’re were employed with Sota. So they been building action figues, in various capacities, for over 10 years. The feudal series is a line taking its inspiration from historical characters associated with 15 century Feudal Japan. Ninjas, Samurai’s, disgraced Ronin, etc.. are all planned for the first wave.

The point of the Kickstarter is to raise enough funds to pay for the steel tools and molds to make the figures; it’s THE most expensive part of any 3rd party project. There are over 160 plus parts that need to be molded. If the Kickstarter is successful they have a stockpile of molds to use for future figures. The designed the figures to reply heavily on parts reuse and have baked in a ridiculous amount of customization via swappable and interchangeable parts. The Ninjas are just non descript enough to fit in as any character assassin you want. From Hand Ninjas to foot soldiers and everything in between. They scale perfectly with almost every 1:12 line available, as well. From Marvel Legends to DC Universe classics to Neca’s TMNT’s to Hasbro’s Black Series. This was intentional. They’ll be able to compliment any line right out the package. The customization makes them awesome options for customizers, too.

KS: That’s awesome! So, are there any future lines that we can expect… In terms of eras and the like? And the use as generic ninjas is so huge. I literally want at least 20

Dallas: These figures are designed, sculpted and created literally from the ground up by collectors like you and me. They’re host to arguably THE most authoritative action figure website on the net and are intimately aware of what makes a figure good, bad and great! Yea. The potential for future ways in endless! Seriously endless. From monks to Afro Samurai… limitless. The goal is to get this Kickstarter funded. That’s their focus. That’s where their attention is. The possibilities and opportunities speak for themselves, tho. From I’ve been told they’re be sticking to that historical era of Japan for the time being. They also have plans to do exclusive figures. So say you wanted a Kuma Style Exclusive Samurai to sell on your site. They plan to offer something along those line IF the Kickstarter is funded.

And a video I made containing basic info and a breakdown of the cost of a independent line vs a big corporation like Hasbro:

Yea. It’s pretty cool. Think a Kuma Style Exclusive with box artwork that you PERSONALLY photographed.

I appreciate Mr. James giving a rundown of what this project is all about. As a photographer and even a general collector, it’s nice to be able to troop build “enemy” characters that have a good grade of quality and articulation.
