DX9 makes a strong debut with their homages to Wreck-Gar and Cykill!

I’m going to say right away that these toys took me by surprised. The only Unique Toy item I’d owned was Mania King (their Galvatron homage) and, even though it was good, it just wasn’t something very stand out to me. These however, blew me away right out of the box.
The plastic quality on them is fantastic, with really bright colors, and a nice finish that isn’t matte, but definitely isn’t overly glossy. The chromed parts really pop and are very durable feeling. Their poseability is fantastic, and their are enough differences in the colors and detailing of the shared mold between the two to really make each stand out on their own and make a purchase of both very easily justifiable. The multiple points of storage for the guns and shields also gets a positive nod from me.
I prefer Splinter over Salmoore as the Wreck-Gar homage holds more of a place with me as a Transformers fan than Cykill since I didn’t follow GoBots. However both look fantastic, and it’s pretty cool to see Cykill get an upgrade aesthetic that comes off as “tough” without being too imposing to fit the character.
These fucking rock. Fantastic job Hedi and the DX9 team. I’m looking forward to your Powermaster Prime upgrade even that much more now!
