In this review, we take a good look at Bandai Tamashii’s homage to Weisritter from the Super Robot Wars: Original anime and video games. A great effort from Bandai put out a figure that is one of the best I’ve ever seen.

At this point, it’s come to be an expectation that Bandai’s Super Robot Chogokin toys will have a dead-on accuracy to the character that they homage, and this falls right in line with that expectation. Just beautiful to look at.

Another expectation that I’ve come to have with S.R.C.s is an extreme level of poseability. Not only is this thing jointed to death, but even the armor parts on him like his shoulder pads and his skirt have multiple levels of adjustment to give him more range of motion. One of the most impressive features is the feature of both a ball joint AND a rocker joint to give his waist two points of articulation and ab crunch.

True to fiction, he comes with his humongous rifle, and energy saber. What’s nice about the rifle is that his forearms can extend out so that you can have enough room after bending the elbow to balance the gun by having him holster it with one hand, and cup underneath with the other. He also comes with appropriate hand variations to hold his rifle and sword and an alternate wrist piece that has his forearm blasters extended.
His most impressive accessory, however, is his wingpack. Featuring adjustable wings as well as an adjustable fin, this piece not only completes his aesthetic, but has a great range of poseability in itself. It really takes this character’s aesthetic in both fiction and figure from being great to one of my favorite mechas of all time.

Beautiful in every way.
