Fans Hobby continues their Masterbuild Series with MB-02 Megatooth. This Masterpiece-scaled homage to the Transformers character Repugnus manages to be both different and fun. The video portion takes a good look at the figure and its articulation as well as providing comparisons and a run through of the transformation.
Overall Score: 7.5/10 – Where I felt like Archenemy was lacking in some areas, I feel like Megatooth shines in them and then lacks where Archenemy excels. Megatooth has tons of articulation and great balance which is really impressive considering the general size of this piece. They even knocked the alt. mode out of the park to the point where it’s how I display it over its robot mode. However, the general “finish” of it is a notch or two below official and the more high-end 3rd-Party Masterpiece standard. I’m hoping that they take this into account with future releases because that aspect would have easily made this a 8.0 or above for me.
