Bandai Tamashii made a smart move in capitalizing on the “Resurrection of Frieza” hype by switching gears and pumping out characters of it; beginning with Super Saiyan Blue Goku. Also called Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, this is Goku’s latest transformation level which was featured in the movie (as well as the current “Dragon Ball Super” television series.) I love that this went with the anime-colored styling utilizing shading in the hair and gi. The addition of a “regular” head is also a nice touch for those who want to display Goku as Goku. The accessories are what I’d call “average” for this line consisting of the altenate head and a variety of hands and “blue” faces for Goku, but for $40 this is a steal. The S.H.Figuarts line is continuing their roll of well-done pieces with Super Saiyan Blue Goku.
