Today, we look at a pretty popular figure from Bandai’s Super Robot Chogokin Line: Might Gaine! A very strong likeness to the Brave Express character, he comes with some of the most awesome posing I’ve ever seen in a figure at this scale, and some really cool weapons to boot.

As per usual with Bandai’s S.R.C. line, this figure is a dead-on homage to the cartoon character. It also has a great sculpt which helps hide a lot of his joint kibble.

I said in the introduction that this was one of the most poseable figures I’ve had the pleasure of owning at this scale, and I meant that. From ab crunch, to double-jointed elbows and ankles, this figure has it all. The feet and shins also feature diecasting which gives him a good amount of weight and stability, too. However, the con to that is the fact that it weights his legs down when trying to do poses like kicking upwards.

True to the show, the accessories that come with this toy are varieties of his sword, as well as a maskless face to represent when it got blown off during an episode. A variety of hands and handles with a variety of lengths round things out. The extended handled allow for him to hold his fully extended blade with both hands.
Another small-but-awesome piece that comes with him is a piece that attaches under his crotch (think “taint) that attaches to tamashii stands in order to pose him “in air”. It’s a very nice piece that places in a spot that gives him great balance while suspended on a stand.

This is a wonderful toy that’s seemingly a lot more available at a much better price than other figures from this Bandai line. A great figure all-around and one I’d definitely recommend.
Overall Score: 8.0/10
