Bandai Tamashii’s S.H. Figuarts toyline continues it’s Dragon Ball (Z) line with Krillin! A great character likeness and scale has made this one of my favorites in their Dragon Ball toys yet!
Note: You’ll notice that the box says “Klilyn”. The reason behind this is that it’s the official English name that Toei chose years ago for Krillin products made by Japanese manufacturers.

The two biggest things that popped out to me immediately were just how well of a likeness this toy has to the character, and also the height, which is at a great scale to other figures in the line at approximately 4.5″ tall.
From the trademark markings on his forehead, to even smaller things like the “scrunches” on his cheeks, this toy really nails the facial detailing. Even the silhouette of the overall body is spot-on. The Gi colors and emblem are fantastic as well.

As you can see in the pictures below, he comes with a variety of hands and faces as well as his trademark “destructo disc” projectile attack.

The set up for the desctructo disc is well done. The piece that connects it to the hand to achieve the “floating” effect is clear and thin, but not thin to the point where it feels frail or would be easily lost if dropped on the floor.

With his larger-sized head, lack of nose, and over-exaggerated expressions as a more comical character, the execution of the extra heads/faces was crucial since it’s a big part of his presence and character in general. I’m glad to say that Bandai Tamashii nailed it and picked key expressions to include. The extra heads are definitely my favorite part of this package:

This is a great addition to the Bandai Tamashii S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball Z line, and what’s even better is that our friends at Bluefin Distribution have made sure that North American retailers (Bigbadtoystore, Amazon.com, etc. etc.) will have this available! It’s pretty well known that I’m more of a mecha (robot) collector by preference, but this is a fantastic toy that I’d recommend.
Overall Score: 8.5/10
