Bandai’s still batting 100% with their likenesses come this figure. my favorite parts are the under-detailing of pieces in the shoulder area. I also love the real diecasting for his melee spike (right forearm), as well as the fact that his gunbarrel actually releases from the forearm to emulate spinning around to reload.

Although a “chunkier” design, this toy features the same amount of articulation and poseability as more streamlined and slim robots from this line. I love the ability to swivel his shoulder armor in and out for more arm swaying area. Another impressive feature is the ability to extend the neck out “Pat Lee style” to give yourself more room to see the face when taking a photo from underneath.

Like a lot of SRCs, there’s quite a bit of diecast in his leg area, to give it a good stable base while posing. The feet also having two seperate points of articulation for the heel and front half of the foot is spectacular as well.

I know a lot of collectors want figures who are packed to the brim with accessories, but I’m the complete opposite. At this point in my collecting, I’ve gotten so many figures that I have bins of sandwich bags holding accessories for figures. So, when I saw that the accessories for this figure are an optional open hand for each side (Two extra hands, total), two firey effect pieces (for the horn and spike bit), and a clip piece to balance him on a stand for flight poses, I was overjoyed. The accessories on this figure are short, show/game accurate, and to the point: Just the way I like it!

This figure reminds me of Might Gaine from the Super Robot Chogokin line in that it’s very available at a very affordable price and both of those things make it almost surprising that it’s so damned fantastic! I’d recommend this to anyone.

Overall Score: 8.0/10
