At just under 4″, it has a scale that remains very true-to-show in terms of it’s uncombined form vs. “Big” Volfogg which is when he is combined with a police helicopter and motorcycle to form a bigger version of himself. Even at the smaller size than others from this line, it stays very accurate in it’s detailing, and I love the shade of purple used: That color is perfection. The paint applications are applied great as well.

The one part of this mold that bothers me is the separation between the ball joint on the waist and his crotch/thigh area. The side skirt only come directly up to where the waist starts, so there’s a bit of clearance where you can see the waist and thigh ball joints through the skirts. However, I can see where the skirts weren’t molded to be higher, because it would limite his ability to swing his legs back and forth.

I was also impressed to see that the poseability and amount of joints in this smaller figure was also comparable to the larger SRCs. In fact, it this figure were upscaled, in terms of both detail and poseability, nothing would have to be added to make it “feel” like the other, larger figures. I love that Bandai has a set standard of articulation, regardless of the size of the figure!

With solid joints and even some diecasting, this figure is a treat to pose. Plenty of swivels, along with double-jointed knees and elbows gives you a great range in terms of what you’d like to do with the figure.

He comes with a variety of hands: Two fists with openings to hold his weapons, two completely open hands, and, true-to-show, a right hand holding a cup of his oil “drink” (straw included).

Weapon-wise, he comes with his two standard blade weapons, as well as the combined “shoryuken” form. He also comes with an alternate head which has the same helmet, and a more angry “yelling” face. I absolutely love the intense look of the face, and it’s impressive molding.

With this figure comes the first piece to the Big Order meeting room seen on the TV show. It comes in five pieces, which are extremely easy to set up, and even though it’s only 1/4th of the circular shape of the room, it still stands up on it’s own with nothing needed to balance it.

Volfogg’s command chair is also included, and what’s nice is that it can turn upside-down and store pegged into his Big Order room section

A very well done addition to the Gaogaigar series of toys. The Big Order room beginning is also something to consider when thinking about purchasing this figure. It gets my recommendation for sure.

Overall Score: 8.5/10
