It’s a privelege to get a chance to keep the Brave reviews going with one of my favorite toys period: Takara’s Masterpiece Dragon Kizer (Kaiser)! Featuring an awesome size, aesthetic, and poseability, this is one of those homages that I just can’t see being made much better anytime in my own lifetime.

The aesthetic is just fantastic on this piece. Such a great likeness to the cartoon AND the original toy. In fact, until you actually play with it, it does such a great job of throwing back to the original toy that you wouldn’t believe that it holds the higher level of poseability that it does.

The accessories are standard, but well done. A few more options for hands, but the stand out hand is definitely the one for his right arm that lets him hold the arrow up to the bow in extended position. Speaking of that, he not only comes with a transforming bow, but multiple crests for his chest as well: A standard one, and another than has transforming ends to not have to be taken off when forming his jet mode! On top of that, he has his show-accurate arm blasters that also turn into blades.

The one thing I love about this alt. mode is that the Transformation represents the simplicity of the jet mode itself. On top of that, it’s a very show accurate alt. mode with a good scaling to act as a trailer for Kizer and a carrier craft for King Kizer!

Even though this toy is a hefty one in both aesthetic and actual weight, it maintains enough poseability to justify it being a Masterpiece figure for sure. In face, outside of waist swivel, this toy even keeps up with the current poseability standards of today’s Transformers Masterpiece line! On top of that, it has tight joints and strong ratchets for a very comfortable posing.

No toy is perfect, but this is one of those ones where you’ll find yourself wondering when you get it in-hand. The look, feel, and poseability REALLY make this one worthwhile and makes it a great addition to your shelves: Brave fans or fans of a damned good figure.

Over Score: 8.5/10
